In honor of continuing the yearly tradition that I started last year, here’s my 2017 list.

Another stellar year for entertainment. Was incredibly tough to condense it down to just five per category (especially gaming, look at those ties, my goodness). Yet again, I didn’t get a chance to read as many books as I would’ve liked. I partly blame getting a Switch this year and pouring hundreds of hours into it. Nintendo had a smashing first year for the Switch with two incredible first-party games that will be remembered for years to come. On the music side, a lot of my favorite artists from a decade ago put out some great records, and it was quite a year for cerebral/haunting movies and TV shows as well.

Here’s to hoping 2018 continues the trend of awesome successes!
