Despite everything that’s happened this year, it managed to be a great year for entertainment. I read a total of zero books this year, which I’m not proud of but am also not super worked up about. Surviving this year has felt like surviving twenty years, and I felt the need to relax and engage with other forms of media more than words on paper.

So many movies I was looking forward to that were scheduled to release this year, like Voyagers, Black Widow, and The King’s Man got delayed to 2021. In gaming, Animal Crossing was such a welcome relief for many months of quarantine (despite it not making into my best games list for the year). Bombay Bicycle Club seems to have opened the year with an album title that accurately foreshadowed everything else that was in store for this year. And in TV, a lot of my favorite TV shows ended up having excellent final seasons. All of this stuff has made 2020 bearable, and I’m more than happy to move on from it into 2021.
